"This was the happily-ever-after part now, Tonks thought, rubbing her eyes in the first grey light of morning." I like this line because I'm all about stories that show how happy endings take work, and things aren't all better just because the main conflict is over, and to me this line captures that juxtaposition, with the thoughts about happily-ever-afters but also the gray light.
I love the image of the three of them in bed together as Teddy nurses! Perfect. And the description of Remus as having transformed from a haunted man to the anchor of their family.
LOVE how you have Remus taking Tonks (and Teddy) back to meet the werewolves he befriended during his year away. I've been thinking of doing that, too, in my own story, so that resonated for me. And it's lovely that he wants to "show them off."
The initial resistance Remus encounters from the werewolves when he wants them to come join wizarding society and make change with him, that seems very realistic. All in all, in fact, this whole scenario reads so naturally, I almost forgot that a world in which Remus and Tonks survive is (unfortunately, necessarily) an AU.
Oh, gosh, Madam Malkin coming out in support of her werewolf nephew. That actually made me tear up a little.
And the last line – yes! Two characters who finally get a chance for their stubbornness to work *for* them, and not just against.
