Summary:Before leaving for the Battle of Hogwarts, Remus gives Tonks one last kiss.
Notes: I wrote something!! :D I wanted to write something longer (I still might, there's time right??lol!) but at least I wrote something! (Proud of myself!)

Of the top kisses of Tonks’ life, this kiss has shot straight to number one. She feels it throughout her whole body. No other kiss has ever or will ever feel like this. On this night, with this man, kissing her and holding her like it’s the last time he ever will (and it might be). She can feel Remus’ love for her in this kiss and if she’s ever had cause to doubt his feelings, she doesn’t now and never will again. It’s this kiss that leads to her kissing Teddy’s tiny head and following her husband into battle.

Oh, this is sweet and powerfully emotional – and then painful, too, because of that last line and what's to come.

Oh, this is so very very lovely, and yet so utterly sad, because we know what's coming next. It really got to me how Tonks knows this can be the last time they kiss. So much punched into this drabble. Really well done!

Oh my, that last line is really painful! I like how you've used the repetition of "kiss" to lead into it. The "doesn't now and never will again" is hard-hitting too, and terribly sad. Well done - so glad you wrote here again. :-)
