Twelfth Night Tales: Deadline Extension Time!

As it wouldn't be an rt_morelove event without an extension of the original deadline, you won't be surprised to learn that this is a tradition we're already keeping up in the new year. We'd also like to think there's some more ideas and works in progress that would appreciate the extra time (like those of your mods), so now the new deadline is on Wednesday, 31st January, at midnight Pacific time. There's a full moon due that night, which makes it appropriate to bring the event to a close as Remus won't be around!

If none of the prompts have taken your fancy, or you're in search of further inspiration, we've added twelve new prompts, which you can find at the end of the list HERE.

It's been exciting to see the fics so far, and the names both old and new that have either followed or found the community on Dreamwidth. Remember we welcome new fic and art both big and small, and WIP excerpts are also welcome as long as you've used one or more of the prompts. Here's to plenty of inspiration, not too much perspiration, and a little more R/T fic and art in the world.:D

Oh, wow! That actually makes a huge difference. I was thinking of posting an excerpt for a potential WIP. I'll see how well it fits the prompts.

Yesssss, I was just thinking that today should probably be the day when I ask if there will indeed be an extension! Quite incredibly, my fic is actually getting pretty close to complete, but I don't think it's going to make it by the 12th. (Given that this MASSIVE final piece of my semester's coursework is also due on the 12th.) Sweet! I'll be back soon (reasonably soon, maybe not very soon) to post my fic. :-)

Completely off topic (and I hope this doesn't put you on the spot), but did you ever finish that Snow Queen adaptation last year? I really enjoyed it but couldn't find the rest. I think the last part I read was Remus being in the house of a witch. (Pardon my memory, it was last year, so I might be a little bit off.)

Oh my gosh, I'm so flattered that you remember that and even looked for it – thank you for asking about it! Unbelievably it's STILL NOT QUITE FINISHED, despite my having worked fairly steadily on it, as a back-burner or front-burner project at various times, for the past year. (It grew in scale and is truly novella-length now, and I care about it a lot and wanted to take the time to do it justice – what was on rt_morelove last year ended up being just a draft of those first chapters, which have also grown and changed since then.)

It's actually now complete and betaed and everything, all I have to do is give it my final read-through to make sure everything is how I want it – but I started a master's program so my time for writing/editing suddenly got very limited. I really hope to start posting it very soon, maybe even this month? It'll be on AO3 and DW when I do!

(Sorry for the long, rambling reply, but this has been the PROJECT OF MY HEART for over a year now, actually something I think about all the time, just not quite posted yet!)

Ha, I sometimes wonder if anyone who has done the event before actually believes us when we put the first deadline up... ;)

I still don't know how you're managing to do both work and fic, but it's great that you are! And good luck with that coursework. :-)

Heh, I don't really know either... The only reason I even started this fic was because of this great "Write Every Day" challenge I joined this month – I like it because it's not a specific word count, not a specific goal, just – write something, even a single sentence, each day. Which is doable! So I started this fic on Jan. 1 because I had to write something that day, and have worked on it a little bit each day since. Whereas if I hadn't had that requirement to write a tiny bit each day, I probably wouldn't even have started it yet, since my head is so full of coursework right now!
