[identity profile] shimotsuki.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] rt_morelove
For a new HP community in the post-canon world, what an event this has been so far! We've already had two rounds of prompts, one art post, thirteen fic posts, and a midpoint masterlist.

As it stands now, the Stocking Filler Exchange is set to close at midnight (Pacific time) on 20 January. That's, er, Monday. But we suspect there just might be some folks out there who, like Santa's elves, are labo(u)ring away unseen. So here's a little poll: is there anyone who might like an extension until, say, 31 January? If so, let us know in the next day or three. (We'll keep the poll responses hidden/anonymous, so don't be bashful!)

Would it be okay for us to post stuff outside of our challenges once this is over? The prompt I was going to do didn't pan out, but I'd still like to post something again.

Sorry that you haven't got an answer for your question yet, we haven't forgotten about it. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Sorry to keep you waiting; it's the difficulties of three mods in different time zones!

Our initial thinking when opening the comm, was to see how one very low-key event would pan out, or if only the three of us would turn up! As it is, we've been really pleased and surprised with the response, and we'd like to do something similar again soon, life constraints permitting. At the moment, the comm would be semi-closed after this event ends - otherwise we'd have to keep an eye on it if we keep all posting access open, and that wouldn't be possible for us right now. To that end only art and fics submitted by the 31st will be on the masterlist, but if you finished something later on that fills one of the prompts, you could post it on your own journal and link to it in a response to the comment where the prompt is?

I forgot to ask if it would help if you chose a completely different prompt? There are some new ones there now, and the one I originally picked is taking forever whereas choice no. 2 seems better behaved!

I'll try that. I think the biggest issue with the one I chose was that it was Christmas based (my idea for it, that is, the prompt was pretty holiday neutral), and now that Christmas is over... well. :P So I'll look at the other prompts and see what non-Christmas ideas I get.
