[identity profile] shimotsuki.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] rt_morelove
This is the place to leave your prompts for SpringFest!

Here's a recap of how prompting works for this event. For detailed community guidelines and event instructions, please see the previous post. If you have questions about how prompt submission works, please leave those questions as comments on the previous post as well.

  • Leaving at least one prompt in any category is how you join the event; this will get you posting access once posting opens on Friday.

  • There are three categories of prompts. Go down to the comments on this post, find the top-level comment by me ([livejournal.com profile] shimotsuki) that identifies each prompt category, and leave your prompts for that category as a response to my comment.

  • You are welcome to leave up to five prompts in each category. You don't have to submit all five prompts at one time — you can come back and add more later. But do keep in mind that prompts submitted early in the event are more likely to be picked up by writers and artists.

  • Please keep all prompts work-safe.

  • When the time comes to choose prompts for your fic or art, you don't have to claim them officially here — just declare them in the header when you post (instructions will be provided). You can choose a prompt from just one, or from two, or from all three categories, depending upon how inspiration strikes!

Right, then, let the event begin!

1. one hundred forty-two staircases (which is how many there are at Hogwarts, apparently!)

2. This description of Honeyduke's:

There were shelves upon shelves of the most succulent-looking sweets imaginable. Creamy chunks of nougat, shimmering pink squares of coconut ice, fat, honey-coloured toffees; hundreds of different kinds of chocolate in neat rows; there was a large barrel of Every Flavour Beans, and another of Fizzing Whizzbees, the levitating sherbet balls that Ron had mentioned; along yet another wall were ‘Special Effects’ sweets: Drooble’s Best Blowing Gum (which filled a room with bluebell-coloured bubbles that refused to pop for days), the strange, splintery Toothflossing Stringmints, tiny black Pepper Imps (‘breathe fire for your friends!’), Ice Mice (‘hear your teeth chatter and squeak!’), peppermint creams shaped like toads (‘hop realistically in the stomach!’) , fragile sugar-spun quills and exploding bonbons.

1. JKR quote: "Lupin's a wonderful teacher and a very nice man but he has a failing and his failing is that he does like to be liked and that's where he slips up because he has been disliked so often that he's always so pleased to have friends so he cuts them an awful lot of slack" (RAH 2003).

Baby, would you marry me
under an apple tree
or the bottom of the sea
or maybe on a train to Spain
or some nice place like that?

And baby, would you marry me
on a mountain top or a traffic stop
or maybe on a boat that floats
into the great unknown?

1. Who can you trust in this place?
In whom can I put my faith?
If you're real then show me now
Who you are

How can I love without grace?
Shine a light on your face
If you're real then show me now
Who you are

Our temperature would climb, there'd be a long embrace
We'd do another dance, it'd be another play
Looking for romance? Come back another day
Another day

The heart may freeze
Or it can burn
The pain will ease
If I can learn
There is no future
There is no past
I live this moment
As my last
There's only us
There's only this
Forget regret
Or life is yours to miss
No other road
No other way
No day but today"

2. Write a fic or create an artwork with the opening line: The morning light was streaming in and Tonks was sitting at the foot of his bed, wearing something strangely familiar.

3. Tonks meets one of the werewolves Remus lived alongside during his mission in HBP, and discovers she's young, attractive and in need of his help again.

4. Wedding gift(s).

5. The first time Remus calls Tonks 'Dora'.
